Police probe death of female LASU student

Detectives at the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Yaba, have begun investigation into the death of a female student of the Lagos State University, LASU, Ojo Town Campus.

According to reports, the deceased, a 100 level student of Fishery Department, identified as Aishatu Abudulrahman, was found in the pool of her blood, weekend, in her apartment at 1 Olumeka Street in Ojota area of Lagos.

Investigation as gathered, fingered her former boy friend, who it was learnt had once threatened to kill her if she jiltered him. The relationship said to have lasted about four years, turned sour after the late Aishat dumped her ex for another undergraduate for an unknown reason.

Although the suspected assailant was said to be on the run, confirming detectives claim, but the deceased current boyfriend was as at, yesterday, still in Police custody.

His detention, according to spokesman for the Lagos State Police Command, Mr Samuel Jinadu, was to provide needed information to the police, which would hasten the conclusion of the case.
