Police begin probe of alleged bomb planting in Enugu

ENUGU – POLICE detectives from the Force Headquarters, Abuja have commenced investigations into the petition written by Enugu State Government in which it listed thirteen politicians in the state as allegedly responsible for the recent planting of bombs in some parts of the state.

Highly placed security sources said the petition written on behalf of the government by the Secretary to Enugu State Government, SSG, Mr. Martin Iloh, fingered the 13 politicians as the brain behind the bombs reportedly discovered along the Udi – Ozalla road and another allegedly planted at Okpara Square during the flag off of Governor Sullivan Chime’s campaign in Enugu recently.

Those listed in the petition addressed to the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Rafiz Ringim are former governor of the state and a sitting Senator of the Federal Republic, Dr. Chimaroke Nnamani,  People for Democratic Change, PDC Governorship candidate, Dr. Dan Shere,  his running mate, Hon. KGB Oguakwa, Labour Party governorship candidate, Chief Okey Ezea, his running mate, Chief Sam Ejiofor, former Minister of Information and younger brother of the deposed National Chairman of PDP, Chief Nnia Nwodo and former chairman of Senate Committee on Defense, Senator Fidelis Okoro.
