ABUJA -Ethiopian coach, Iffy Onuoua of Nigerian descent has said he would beat the Super Eagles in the 2012 African Cup of Nations qualifier today to prove he is a real professional.
While reacting to the question why he would lead the East African nation against the Super Eagles, Onuora said, “I’m a professional and ready to beat Nigeria. I’m proud to be Ethiopia coach”.
He said he has read a lot about the Super Eagles’ players and was not afraid of any.
“On paper, Nigeria has a great team, but I will prove it I have better team to pick the ticket to the African Cup of Nations finals”.
He however dismissed the fear that he might lose his job should he fail to overrun the Super Eagles in today’s qualifier as he said, “I’m barely seven months old on the job and nothing will happen should I fail in this first leg.”
