THE Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) has given dealing member firms until March 31, 2011 to submit their year 2010 financial statements to it.
According to a notice to dealing member firms, released Monday, tagged Market Bulletin/RRM/CIR/25/CAA/03/11, the NSE reminded dealing members that the law guiding the operations of dealing members on the NSE stipulates that they submit their financial statements three months after the expiration of the financial period.
The notice reads, “Article 15 (h) of the Rules and Regulations governing dealing members states that ‘Dealing members are required to submit to the Exchange, their financial statements within 90 days of the end of the fiscal year. All financial statement shall be prepared according to the Nigerian Accounting Standard.’.
“Please note that, audited financial statement for December 31, 2010, year end are due for submission on or before Thursday March 31, 2011.”
