DELTA State gubernatorial candidate of the Republican Party of Nigeria, (RPN), in the forthcoming re-run election, Chief Ovie Omo-Agege, has condemned in strong terms,  calls by the candidate of the Democratic Peoples Party, DPP, Chief Great Ogboru for the postponement of the governorship re-run from 6th of January, 2011.

Meanwhile, the campaign trail of Chief Ovie Omo-Agege, was yesterday disrupted in Koko, Warri North Local Government Area of the State by hoodlums suspectedly hired by PDP. Our correspondent reports that the hoodlums locked the venue of the rally, preventing the RPN Governorship candidate, Chief Ovie Omo-Agege and his supporters from holding the scheduled rally.

The State Chairman of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, Chief Adolo Okoitie-Eboh decried that the action was undemocratic, adding that it was in conflict with the federal government’s effort towards adding value to democracy in Nigeria.
