The Golden Tulip Hospitality Group has concluded plans to commission another hotel in Enugu. The Sales and Marketing Manager of the group, Mr Emmanuel Ele , made this disclosure recently in Lagos while conducting journalists round its facilities in Festac, Lagos.
Ele said the arrival of the hotel in Nigeria via the Golden Tulip West Africa is an indication of the willingness of the group to change the dynamics of the hospitality game in Nigeria.
“Golden Tulip hospitality group has more than 780 hotels, with 75,000 rooms in over 50 countries worldwide, offering services in the middle, upper and luxury scales. It is also a major player in the global travel and tourism industry and a benchmark in services for companies and public institutions” he said.
According to him, with its location along the ECOWAS corridor, the hotel has proven that within ten months of its existence, it has been able to win several awards like the sliver award for best new hotel in West Africa and a gold award as the four star hotel in West Africa all by the West African Tourism and Hospitality Awards (WATHA awards 2010).
“As the official hotel of the 2010 Lagos International Trade Fair, Golden Tulip has not only achieved a mile stone as the first ever official hotel of the fair, but it has proven that our strategic vision is to rewrite the history of modern hospitality.
As the nearest hotel to the site of the international trade fair, it has not only provided the fair exhibitors the opportunity to enjoy a four star treatment after a stressful business day, but to assure them of firm commitment towards a successful hosting of the 2010 the international trade fair by the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI)” he said.
