Former Green Eagles star, Adokie Amiesemaka one of Amos Adamu’s fiercest critics refused to be bothered by the fall of the man regarded by many as the problem of Nigerian Football.
Barrister Amiesemaka had responded well, when he answered the phone call made to him yesterday. But he was drained of all enthusiasm, when the name of Adamu was mentioned.
“I don’t want to talk about it,” he said just as the phone went dead.Nigeria Football Federation technical committee chairman, Barrister Chris Green also refused to comment on the sacking of Adamu.
“As an individual I have nothing to say. Maybe the NFF will come up with an official position I don’t know.”
Delta State Sports Commission chairman, Pinnick Amaju will not be drawn into any sort of conversation on the issue either. “I have no comments to make.”
His was quite under-standable, because of the political situation in Delta State, where the Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan was removed from office. Amaju being a member of the kitchen cabinet couldn’t be putting out a fire in another man’s house, when his own house is burning.
