The Management of Golden Tulip hotels said plans have been concluded to commission another branch in Enugu, as it gets the commendation of Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) for being the official LITF Hotel.2010

The chamber said from what was recorded during the Fair, Golden Tulip hotel, Festac is ready to change the hospitality business landscape in Nigeria.

Speaking with vanguard over the telephone, Mr Muda Yusuf, Director General of LCCI disclosed that the hotel actually lived up to standard as the official hotel for the 2010 LITF.

“We had no regret making Golden Tulip the official hotel for the 2010 Lagos international trade fair, they actually lived up to standard, some of the members of the trade fair committee board that was lodged in the hotel, testified that they enjoyed the modern hospitality that four star hotel offered, as members of the board was hosted by a sound management team ” he said.

Continuing, he said, “as the official hotel of the 2010 LITF, Golden Tulip has not only achieved a mile stone as the first ever official hotel of the fair, but it has proven that our strategic vision is to rewrite   the history of modern hospitality is in no doubt.”

Responding, Mr Emmanuel Ele, Sales and Marketing Manager, Golden Tulip said the arrival of the hotel in Nigeria via the Golden Tulip West Africa is an indication of the willingness of this brand drivers to change the dynamics of the hospitality game in Nigeria.

According to him, with its location along the ECOWAS corridor, the hotel has not only succeeded in standing out as a penguin from other birds, but has proven that within ten months of its existence, it has been able to win several awards among which includes a sliver award for best new hotel in West Africa and a gold award as the four star hotel in West Africa all by the West African Tourism and Hospitality Awards (WATHA awards 2010).

“Golden Tulip hospitality group has more than 780 hotels, with 75,000 rooms in over 50 countries worldwide with its group head office in Lausanne, Switzerland, offering services in the middle, upper and luxury scales. It is also a major player in the companies and public institutions” he said.
