Former Cycling Federation boss Rev. Moses Iloh has backed former NFA chairman Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima as Nigeria’s representative in FIFA .
According to Rev Iloh who is the Secretary General of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Galadima is the right person for the job and will help change the bad name given to country by disgraced former CAF and FIFA executive committee member, Dr. Amos Adamu.
“It is a thing of joy to have Galadima back again after four years of hibernation. And I’m confident that Galadima will do well in the job especially on the aspect of changing the bad name given to us by Adamu after several years of service to the country.
“I support him (Galadima) because he has a reputation, he is courageous as well and always on the side of truth. In essence he is of good record. I congratulate him on his nomination and pray the almighty God gives him the grace and wisdom to carry out his duties diligently,” he said
On the judgement passed on Dr. Adamu over the cash-for-vote scandal, Rev. IIoh admitted it was a fair judgement, but added that it would have been better if he had been caught by Nigerians.
“I think the judgement passed on Adamu is a fair judgement, my annoyance is that we would have done that at home instead of outsiders disciplining our leader.
The truth is, he is not the only one, there are so many Adamus in the country, it’s just that nemesis has not catch up with them. Now that it has happened to Adamu, there is the need to clean up the sports commission.“His scandal shows that our leaders are dirty. This is the time we need to be upright in all our dealings,” he concluded.
