By Akpokona Omafuaire
WARRI—WORRIED by the recent sacking of Urhobo natives in the Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission, DESOPADEC, by the Interim Management Committee, the Urhobo National Youth Council, UNYC, has called on all Urhobo at home and in the Diaspora, to be vigilant and watch keenly the recent happenings in Delta State.

UNYC national President, also warned all Urhobo politicians,  championing the re-election bid of the Governor to have a rethink, as the Governor was out to reduce and incapacitate the Urhobo nation to mere majority, just to carry out his agenda against the Urhobo people.

He urges all Urhobos to be patient, as a true Urhobo son would soon emerge in the governorship race to restore the lost glory of Delta State and pride of Urhobo nation.

He also  called on all Urhobos to support Dr. Goodluck Jonathan for President 2011.

Mr Monday Oyeghe, UNYC President, made the call weekend, while reviewing the activities of the state government, particularly, DESOPADEC.

He disclosed that all Urhobo indigenes, who are Head of Departments in DESOPADEC have been sacked, while out of the five persons newly appointed as HOD’s so far, Urhobos have just one, while Itsekiris have two and Ijaws from the same Delta South senatorial district have two,  regretting that Delta Central senatorial district has only one, while Delta South Senatorial district has four.
