Panasonic Corporation, Japan, manufacturers of Panasonic electronics has declared that Nigeria is its biggest market in Africa, as it introduces new LCD.
Mr. Masato Tomito, Executive Director, Panasonic Corporation, Japan, made this declaration at a press briefing in Lagos, where he said that aside the new LCD L32C22 introduced into the market, said the company it will in November push the product with a new campaign tagged; ‘Yume,’ meaning Dream.
According to Tomito, i the many years we have established a business relationship with Nigeria, we have watched Panasonic brand image grow by leaps and bounds. Nigeria is now one of our biggest markets in the African continent.
Nigeria, as a fast growing economy with a population of over 150 million, is the future of Africa, and will soon surpass South Africa as the largest economy in Africa. We at Panasonic Corporation are fully focused on Nigeria as the future of this region.”
He went further o say, “it is our strategic interest to align with such economic opportunity. As such, Panasonic will launch some of its new generation products into the Nigerian market in the coming weeks.”He assured.
Among the products to be expected in the market include LCD television, Model L32c22, which is specifically designed for the Nigerian market. According to him, “this LCD comes equipped with 30 watts of powerful sound output, which is industry leading, as well spectacular picture clarity, he declared.
He said, because the Nigeria consumer has shown to be sophisticated in distinguished high quality, Panasonic Japan decided to bring the product close to Nigerian consumers.
“In order to make this dream come through, today, i would like to announce that we are soon to launch the special promotion for the Nigerian consumer called “Yume” campaign, meaning Dreams. The campaign is starting from November 2010.”
