Omokaro wants NPL to look into away matches

By Kate Obodo
Delta Force football club coach Bright Omokaro a.k.a 10-10 has urged the management of Nigeria Premier League, NPL to take a drastic measure on crowd  violence especially at away matches.

The 2010/2011 session of the Nigeria Premier League begins today in Kaduna State, and for the former Super Eagles player, a lot of things need to be put in order, and one aspect is the away matches which he said has posed a problem to visiting teams.

“I want to see a better league this season. It beats my imagination to hear people talking about premiership instead of Nigeria league. We are supposed to be ranked amongst those countries whose league is in order. “But we are no where.

It pains me so much to see things happening this way. If there is any thing I can do to bring back our lost glory in the league I will do it. That’s why many of us are taking up the coaching job to see how we can contribute in lifting our football forward.

“I want our league to be more purified on the base on the problem encountering on away matches.  This always cost coach or players life when it starts.“In this season management of NPL should ensure that there is no problem on that aspect,” Omokaro   said.
