A socio-political group in Oshimili Local Government of South Delta state, has told Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan to reassess his three point development agenda of his to ensure even and equitable of the state and Asaba, the capital of the state.
According to the Chairman of Adinigwe Political forum Ogbueshi Adizue Eluaka Gov. Uduaghan must reappraise his three point agenda and take urgent steps to comprehensively refocus the content and objectives of the programme, if it must achieve the desired result but rather end up as cosmetic patchwork for political patronages.
Eluaka said Adinigwe “has decided to speak out now that the governor and political actors are seeking the peoples mandate in the forth coming elections”. Said Chief Eluaka, “we know that the time has come for us to tell our political leaders the truth, this is the time for auditing of public office holders and we know that they have been campaigning and asking for endorsements from groups, individuals and communities, we have to judge them by what they proposed to do in the past against the results that were achieved before embarking upon endorsing any candidate.
In fact we are not in the business of frivolous endorsement of politicians “While we wish to commend the present administration for achieving relative peace and security of lives and limbs in the state, we want to state categorically that a lot has to be done in the areas of development of infrastructure and human capital development which are receiving lip services from contractors and political office holders”
