Afribank unveils promo to reward customers

In a bid to encourage its customers and improve the deposit base of the bank, Afribank Nigeria Plc has unveiled a promotion package to reward its existing and new customers.

Chairman of the bank, Mr. Osa Osunde, who spoke during the official launch of the bank’s promotion wahich commenced from October 15th to January 30th 2011 tagged  “Afribank savers’ promo”, said he has  no doubt that the Executive Management and all staff of Afribank will give the Savers’ Promo the best of attention.

However, Osunde disclosed that this promotion is aimed at growing the deposits of the bank and in the process reward both existing and new customers for their patronage.

Osunde said “Our expectations from this project are many, and we are very hopeful we will succeed by the special grace of God” promising that the bank is in the market not only to offer excellent services and meet their banking needs, but also to reward them for their loyalty.

He expressed gratitude, noting that he considers it a privilege and honour to preside over the Board of this Bank, at the moment when the banking public is being presented with this unique opportunity.

According to him  is a demonstration and product of team work, a shared vision and passion between the Executive Management and the Board of the Bank in an effort to grow the bank, noting that the Management was faced with a lot of challenges and hurdles from regulatory and supervisory authorities in packaging the campaign, however he promised that the Board of the bank will continue to support the good initiatives of the management.

In the same vein the Group Managing Director Nebolisa Arah  revealed that the banks decision to encourage as well as reward the customers is based on the premise that they have consistently supported the bank,  “it is time for us to reciprocate to the goodwill we have enjoyed from them asAfribank has achieved significant success in recent time with the restoration of stakeholders confidence and return to profitability”.

Arah said the Savers’ Promo is a National promo that will give participants exciting experience as every participant is a winner from the moment of picking up the deposit slip to open a savings account with as little as N5, 000.00 or topping up the account with same amount and subsequently  maintaining a minimum of N25, 000.00 for 30 days within the promo period.

The Executive Director, Corporate, Commercial and Retail banking Joke Giwa, noted that it  is designed to reward all participants with an initial instant gifts based on the amount deposited and there after saving the money for 30 days.

Joke Giwa revealed that six  2010 Honda (“Discussion Continues”) cars are available for grab for six different winners amongst other gifts such as Motorcycle, 32 inch LCD TV, Home Theatre, Washing Machine, Laptop, Black Berry Handset, Refrigerator, Generator Set, DVD Player, Gas Cooker and Microwave open.

She stressed that the savers’ promo is for both existing customers of the bank and prospective
customers that aspire to improve in their status through savings as the money saved will grow in interest and remains the customers’ while winning one or more of the savers’ promo gifts.

“There are three draws and three prize presentations scheduled as part of Afribank Savers’ promo activities in Lagos, Owerri, Benin, Abuja, Kano and Maiduguri reflecting the National brand acceptability status of Afribank among the consumers and the consumers will be picking the draws themselves to show the transparency and sincerity of Afribank as a dynamic banking institution today”

In the same vein the Group Head Retail, Mr. Victor Ohuoba said the promo is not limited to some privileged persons but that it is a promo that every customer is qualified to participate in.

Ohuoba noted that the promo will be carried out in the six geopolitical regions which covers all the state of the federation, he said the promo has been divided into National prize and Star price, adding that range of gifts will be given to winners who qualify for the draw.

The National lottery regulatory commission affirmed that the bank have gone through the necessary screening exercise to ensure they are capable to handle the promo, the commission also added that they have issued the bank a permit to allow them participate in legal activities as this.
