2011: Ribadu picks ACN card today

By Emma Ovuakporie

ABUJA—Former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, and presidential hopeful of Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, will pick up the party’s card today in Yola, the capital of Adamawa State.

As at Saturday, there was a beehive of activities at Ribadu’s campaign secretariat as members of Team Ribadu held series of closed door meetings, strategizing on how to coordinate the Yola event.

It was also gathered that the event will look like a mini-carnival as Ribadu enjoys a lot of support in his state and other states of the federation.

This development, according to a close source to the presidential aspirant, will definitely put a final full stop on the lips of doubting Thomases.

The source also added that “the die is cast as we know very well that there is no going back. We are already in the trenches and as you know, we have a good product in Ribadu who will definitely fill the missing link that has evaded us in the last 50 years of our existence.”
