Desist from corruption, CJN tells S-Court justices

…swears in 2 new S-Court justices

ABUJA—The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Aloysius Katsina-Alu, yesterday, warned that the National Judicial Council, NJC, has perfected strategies to ensuring that allegations of corruption against any of the Supreme Court Justices are properly investigated and accordingly punished.

The CJN who made this disclosure while swearing-in two new Justices for the Supreme Court yesterday, insisted that the issue of corruption in the Judiciary has become a serious threat to justice delivery in the country, even as he tasked the new Justices to ensure strict adherence to their oath of office.

The newly sworn in Justices of the Supreme Court are Justice Suleiman Galadima and Justice Bode Rhodes-Vivour.

According him, “I wish to reiterate on the subject of corruption which is being freely discussed today in Nigeria and the
Judiciary cannot be completely isolated.
