In a bid to promote its marketing strategy, Bharti Airtel has appointed  George Andah as the Chief Marketing Officer for its Nigerian operation

According to a statement by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Nigeria Mr. Rajan Swaroop, “We are delighted to have George on board and believe that his experience will be invaluable as we build a stronger connection with our customers in Nigeria”.

Rajan noted that George will be responsible for developing the Marketing Strategy, enhancing revenue and customer market share, development of innovative products and nurturing the brand in Nigeria.

He said the company will continue to tap into the diversity of Africa’s world-class talent pool, however He claimed that George and his team will endeavor to deliver a superior brand experience, backed by world-class customer care, a distribution network that puts our products within arm’s reach and services that delight our customers.

Bharti Airtel Limited is a leading global telecommunications company with operations in 19 countries across Asia and Africa, the company offers mobile voice and data services and has been ranked among the six best performing technology companies in the world by Business Week, He said.

George who is presently a member of the Chief Marketing Officers Council for Africa has over 15 years of experience in marketing and brand management, both in the telecom and fast moving consumer goods sectors, He also served as the Chief Marketing Officer for MTN Ghana for over three years. . George is also recognized by the Chartered Institute of Marketing in Ghana as Marketing Practitioner of the Year 2009
