Owumi must tackle indiscipline in the league, Emeteole

By Kate Obodo
Former Heartland FC of Owerri coach Kelechi Emetiole has warned against indiscipline and called on the new board led by Davidson Owumi to eradicate indiscipline in the league come next season.

According to the former coach of the Beach Eagles, hooliganism should be dealt with seriously not lightly. Agreement on players payment and sign-fees should be taken seriously.

“Talking about discipline, I do not mean only one angle but discipline in every aspect in the league, both players, referees, fans, amongst others need to be disciplined.

First, issue of players welfare should be taken seriously, especially  the aspect of agreements. It is not after agreeing to give them a certain amount of money and at the end only 50% of their money will be given to them.

“The issue of hooliganism should also be addressed drastically to ensure that there is no violence in the game,”he advised.
