Orji’s resignation, opportunity for Nkwa-Ngwa – PPA chieftain

By  Tony Edike
ENUGU—THE National Treasurer of the Progressives Peoples Alliance, PPA,  Dr Sam Nkire, said yesterday that the recent resignation of Governor Theodore Orji of Abia State from the party was a golden opportunity for the people of Ukwa-Ngwa to produce the next governor of the state.

Dr. Nkire, who is also a major stakeholder in Abia politics, said it was unfortunate that Governor Orji chose to leave at this time but noted that his exit had opened a good channel for the people of Ukwa-Ngwa to realize their desire to produce the next governor.

He, therefore, called on all Ukwa-Ngwa people to unite and “take this God-given opportunity,” stressing that time had come for the people of the area to take their rightful place in the state.

The PPA chieftain said that “Abia is a PPA State any day” and that the easiest way for them to achieve their life-long dream was to queue behind a PPA Ukwa-Ngwa candidate in the next election.

Nkire urged the people of Abia State to remain calm, especially the residents of Aba commercial city, adding that it would soon be “business as usual” once more.
