Orji’s aide defends Abia on security

Umuahia— Special Adviser on Media to Abia State governor, Chief Anthony Agbazuere, has said that security breaches and political wrangling in the state do not qualify it as the worst.

Agbazuere said this in Umuahia yesterday when the National Association of Abia State Students, led by students union leaders of the four tertiary institutions in the state, paid him a courtesy visit.

The schools are Abia State University, Uturu, ABSU, Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State Polytechnic, Aba and Abia State College of Education (Technical), Arochukwu.

He said that the state government had shown the political will to stamp out crime.

Agbazuere said that contrary to speculations that the amnesty programme had collapsed, the scheme was on course and had registered some progress.

He appealed to the students to partner with government in the onerous task of ensuring development to all nooks and crannies of the state.
