ENUGUâ€”Â Winners of this yearâ€™s annual Ikeoha Foundationâ€™s school quiz competition, organised for secondary schools in Enugu West senatorial district, have got scholarship to acquire degrees in any institutions of higher learning.
The competition, sponsored by Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, was concluded yesterday with Community Secondary School, Oduma, Aninri Local Government Area winning this yearâ€™s edition.
Three students, who represented the school in the final contest held at Rosary High School Awgu, were awarded scholarship by Senator Ekweremadu to study any course of their choice from first year to degree level in any higher institution after completing their secondary school education.
Community Secondary School Oduma, garnered 36 points to defeat second prize winners, Community Secondary School, Nkwe, Awgu local government area of the State in the final contest watched by Ekweremadu traditional rulers from the council and top functionaries of Enugu State government.
The two finalists were tested in eleven subjects, namely, English language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Government, Economics, Geography, Christian Religious Knowledge, Geography and Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
