PDP Chair: Nwodo ‘ll bring hope to party – Ukachukwu

ABUJA — THE Governorship candidate of Hope Party in the February 13 Anambra State governorship election, Nicholas Ukachukwu, said yesterday that the endorsement of former National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Dr. Okwesilieze

Nwodo as National Chairman of the party will inject new life and hope into the PDP.

According to him, “Nwodo should be commended for agreeing to come and serve the party rather than being castigated from some quarters, just as he stressed that he was being given a bad name to hang him”, adding that the choice of Nwodo as the
National Chairman of the PDP was a welcome development to the party and the outside community.” 

Speaking with newsmen yesterday, Ukachukwu noted that he was returning back to the PDP, alongside other members who felt aggrieved in the way and manner the Anambra State primaries were conducted that finally led to the adoption of Professor
Chukwuma Soludo as the PDP’s candidate because a Daniel has come to judgement, adding that they took the decision because the National Caucus and Board of Trustees, BOT of the PDP had at their meetings endorsed Nwodo as a replacement for Prince Vincent Eze Ogbulafor who resigned recently as the National Chairman of the Party. 

According to him, “they were returning to embrace the reforms that are presently going on in the party, especially with the coming on board of the former Enugu State governor.”
