AS the rest of the world ascribe the noise of the vuvuzela to their misfortune in the world Cup and pass a vote of no confidence on it, the Nigerian team yesterday exempted themselves from it,  saying that the Vuvuzela did not disturb them.

Speaking in a conference after their training in Bloemfontain, Chinedu Ogbuike Obasi said that he did not concern himself with the noise that emanates outside the field of play.

“For me, I focus on the ball and I don’t really care about what happens outside. Besides that, noise is part of football and I don’t have anything against the Vuvuzela”.

Also lending credence to the love of the vuvuzela by Nigerian players, media officer of the team, Peterside Idah said that the vuvuzela was an African invention, noting  that Nigerian players had nothing against it. “We in Nigeria are in love with the vuvuzela. We have nothing against it and we advise the rest of the world to borrow a leaf from these wonderful flute.
