The Forum appealed to the Federal and State Governments to prevail on Chevron to enter into a meaningful negotiation that would resolve the issue in the overall interest of peace.

The group, also called on Deltans to support the Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan’s three point agenda to facilitate the development of the state, adding that the Governor cannot do much without the support of the good people of the state,  who the Governor was elected to serve.

It also called on Nigerians to support the President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration in order to move the nation forward at this critical stage of the nation’s development, adding that Nigeria desires a visionary leader such as Dr. Jonathan,  who is focused.

“The call became necessary at this point having seen the actions taken so far by Dr. Jonathan as the Acting President and now as the President of the country.”
