Cheery news for Eagles as Taiwo returns against Greece

The return of injured Taiye Taiwo was enough cheery news to the Eagles and their thousands of fans yesterday when Doctors declared that he was fit to face Greece.

The ace Marseille defender raised the blood pressure of Nigerians when he was assisted out of the pitch against Argentina after taking a shot that strayed inches away from the post of the Argentines.

He fell flat and needed the assistance of his mates before medics helped him out of the pitch. Lars Lagerback lamented on the injury saying that he had not gotten information on  him but prayed that he would be okay for the next match.

Image maker of the Nigeria Football Association, NFA, Demola Olajire broke the good news yesterday when he said that Taiwo suffered from a calf injury and  has been confirmed fit for the must win match against Greece.

“Taiye is okay and should train with the team later today. He suffered from a slight calf injury but has been confirmed fit for the match against Greece. The team are excited with his return and it has boosted their morale for the match against Greece”, Olajire said.
