West Synod Proffers Panacea for Nigeria’s Growth

The West Synod of The Presbyterian Church of Nigeria has given the panacea for the transformation of Nigeria to a peaceful and prosperous nation.  In communiqué, the Moderator of the Synod, The Rev. Wembley Uduma, emphasized that abundant life in Jesus Christ, as promised by God, could only be attained if the virtues of Christ were followed.

The Synod therefore asked the leadership of all Churches to intensify their emphasis on practical Christian living which upheld the virtues of honesty, integrity, humility and a sound moral behaviour.

The communiqué, issued at the end of the 15th Annual Conference of the Synod in Abeokuta, Ogun State, urged Governments at all levels and religious organizations to take positive action towards job creation and youth empowerment in order to stem youth restiveness and the rising wave of crime which are the result of the high level of unemployment in the country.
