The Nigerian Labour Congress, NLCÂ on Friday warned President Goodluck Jonathan against taking advice that could be detrimental to his administration.
In a statement, the NLC president, Abdulwahed Omar, advised Jonathan to be circumspect in seeking counsel that would move the nation forward.
The statement made in Lagos urged the President to build confidence in Nigerians.
“Jonathan should know those to relate or consult with on matters of national interest. He should guard against political hawks,’’ he said.
The labour leader also advised the president to fill the vacant positions in INEC with men of integrity so as to lay a good foundation for the 2011 general election.
