House of Reps: ‘Bwari ‘ll resist long time injustice’

By Henry Umoru

ABUJA —  THE immediate past Chairman of Bwari Area Council in the Federal Capital Territory, Isa Dara Bwara, has vowed that his people would resist any attempt to deny them the opportunity of producing the next member, AMAC/Bwari House of Representatives.

According to him, Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC and Bwari Area council ought to produce a member to the Federal House through rotation, but AMAC has always denied them of the opportunity, adding that Bwari should be the next to occupy the position at the expiration of the present member, Philip Tanimu Aduda, who is eying the FCT Senatorial slot.

Addressing journalists in Abuja on the end of his tenure as Chairman, Dara who is being penciled down for the House, having spent six years as Chairman of Bwari Area Council, said in political appointments like Chairmen of boards, ambassadors, his people were also cheated.

“We will use all what is available to us to address this injustice, if it is English, we have people who can speak, the House of Representatives position must come to us now, it may not be me, but a Bwari person. It is time for AMAC to concede the federal House of Representatives to Bwari if we really say we are one,” Dara said.
