GOC 82 Div tasks soldiers on firing skills

PORT HARCOURT— GENERAL  Officer Commanding 82 Division,  GOC, Major Isah  Mohammad, has  urged soldiers in his division to ensure they internalised the lessons learnt during the just concluded 82 Division small arms championship in Port Harcourt to improve their firing skills.

The GOC,  who was represented by the Chief of Staff, 82 Division, Brig General  Sylverster Audu, said he was impressed with the performance of the soldiers.

“At the end of the four day exercise, 2 Brigade Port Harcourt won the personal weapon (FN) category with a total of  752 points,” he said said.

82 Divisiion  Garrison took first position in personal weapon (AK47) category  with 630 points, GPMG category with 512 points, pistol category with 370 points, marksmanship with 358 points and battle marksmanship with 96 points”, the Public relations officer, 2 Brigade, Major Aminu Ilyasu said
