Eagles’ll have a bright chance in SA, Ugbade

By Kate Obodo
With a couple of weeks to the first ever World Cup in Africa, ex-Junior International, Nduka Ugbade is convinced Nigeria will make a good impact in the Mundial.

Despite the fire brigade approach by the Nigeria Football Association, NFA on the Super Eagles preparation, Ugbade believes the Eagles will  make hay at the Mundial.

“Our chances are bright. We have always prepared like this in the past. Most of the players in the national team are playing in foreign clubs. About 90 percent of them play in foreign leagues, so you do not expect them to camp at this moment.

What we are confronting here is the same in other countries. Most players are playing outside the shores of their countries. With the non-camping, I am not going to say we are lacking preparation, since we know what we are doing. But my concern is that Nigeria goes there and comes back successful,” Ugbade said
