OREROKPE—Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State has assured the poor and physically challenged of government’s continued assistance in the realisation of their economic potentials.

Speaking during a ceremony at Orerokpe, where a 61-year-old amputee, Madam Bibiana Ikpeba, received artificial limbs, courtesy of Delta Micro Credit Programme, DMCP, Uduaghan said the DMCP would continue to cater for the well-being of the rural and urban poor in the state.

Represented by his Executive Assistant on Micro Credit, Dr. Antonia Ashiedu, Uduaghan commended Ikpeba for her resilience and zeal to succeed, despite her physical challenges.

Ikpeba, who was offered a job as liaison officer for DMCP in Okpe communities, thanked the state government for coming to her aid.
