Community appeals to Fashola over Obaship crisis

Following the Obaship crisis that has rocked the Ibereko/Badagry community in Olorunda Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, Governor Babatunde Fashola has been urged to urgently wade into the crisis by inviting the parties involved for a peaceful resolution.

Making the plea in Lagos was Hon.Oluranti Ajose, a former Minority Leader in the Lagos State House of Assembly while addressing journalists on the incessant arrests of innocent citizens of the town.

According to him, the crisis had lingered since 2007, creating the relocation of citizens and investors to neighbouring communities, a situation, he further claimed, had kept residents in perpetual fear and insecurity.

“Ibereko community is a peaceful community and has played host to companies and a major military formation over the years. The present development is a threat to peace in the Badagry Division and the entire sate. We, therefore, appeal to our amiable governor to quickly intervene,” he said.
