18 nabbed over sale of SSCE question papers

ASABA—EIGHTEEN persons, including students have been arrested over examination racketeering, involving the leakage of Mathematics questions for Senior Secondary Certificate Examination, SSCE.

Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr. Charles Muka, who confirmed the arrests said, “we received information that the ongoing 2010 May/June SSCE Mathematics question papers were being sold at  Nelson William Street, Warri .

“And following the information, a team of policemen stormed the place and arrested the suspects while both objective and theory question papers were recovered,” adding that the suspects have been arraigned in court.
Meanwhile, Police have also foiled an attempt to kidnap two chiefs in Oghara.

According to the PPRO, “on  May 13, 2010,  at 4.27pm, Police at Oghara received information that the three suspects planned to kidnap two notable chiefs of Ovade community. We swung into action and arrested the three self confessed suspects.
