Tidi to contest Warri South I seat

WARRI—COMRADE Michael Ejueyitsi Tidi has declared his intention to vie for the Warri South Constituency I seat in Delta State House of Assembly, on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The campaign kicked off in Okere, Warri South Local Government Area, weekend, tagged, A Voice for the Suffering Masses. Mr. Tidi told Vanguard: “I offer myself as the sacrificial lamb for the positive change that must come to Warri South Constituency.

I am calling upon the sons and daughters of this constituency to rise in defence of their fatherland.”

Tidi, a former students’ union activist, promised that if elected, he would fight to ensure that the youths got employment in oil companies. He pointed out that he does not subscribe to the idea of distributing motorcycles (Okada) to young men.

“I believe that the pressing need of our youths is to be gainfully employed in pensionable establish-ment,” he stated.

I think the tending of a child goes beyond buying of books and granting scholarships.

On my own if elected, I will complement that by setting up extra-mural classes for students,” adding that, our women are very hardworking, therefore, I am going to introduce financial assistance scheme to them.

Saying that I will not be an Asaba sit-down politician. I am a grassroot man.”
