Oshiomhole’s aide escapes death

By Gabriel Enogholase

BENIN—SPECIAL Adviser to Edo State governor on Arts, Culture and Tourism, Mr. Orobosa Omo-Ojo, weekend narrowly escaped death in the hands of unidentified gunmen who had trailed him from Adesuwa Grammar School road to Ugbor Police station where he ran for safety.

Omo-Ojo’s escape is coming on the heels of the killing of Chief Friday Osazuwa, the Ihama of Igbekhue, in Benin last Friday by unknown gunmen.

Late Chief Osazuwa was a major beer distributor to the Nigeria Breweries at the time of his death, and his murder came barely a week after the murder of a United States-based medical doctor, Dr, Charles Ndulue, in Benin-City.

Narrating his ordeal to Vanguard yesterday in Benin, Mr. Omo-Ojo, who was still in shock, said he had worked very late in the office on that day and was on his way home when he noticed a strange pick-up van on his trail as soon as he arrived Adesuwa road.
