Former Super Eagles midfielder Austin Okocha believes Nigeria Premier League can be better  if things are put in  proper order.

He said over the years, the league has been governed with  people who have nothing creative to offer. He faulted  the administrative circuit as the reason  for the poor  standard of the league. According to him,  the need for total change is necessary.

“Undoubtedly, our  league would have been better now, where people would fight had to watch the matches just like the European league If we have good administrative personnel. I have said this times without number that we need change especially from the administrative board.

“ Honestly speaking, things are no longer in good shape. This is why soccer fans do not see the need to watch our league anymore. When you do not have good organization what do you expect. Time has come for us to change those people who have mismanaged and ruined  our league in the past and put people who have wealth of experience and have passion for  the game.

“If this is not done the standard will remain in the same way. On my part, I am willing to work if the need arises especially working for the interest of the public. But then our people need to come out and say who they want,” the former Bolton Wanderer midfielder said.
