Mega Party tackles Atiku over plan to rejoin PDP

By Olayinka Latona
The Mega Summit Movement, MSM, has reacted to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar’s purported claim published in a national daily (not Vanguard) that his reason for going back to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, was because the Mega Progressive People’s Party, MPPP, applied to INEC for registration

According to a statement by Alhaji Rasheed Adewale Shitta-Bay, National leader MSM,  “the allegation by Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is not true. Rather it is the sudden and treacherous formation of the National Democratic Movement, NDM, by Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, General Mohammed Buhari (rtd) and Alhaji Attahiru Bafarawa to frustrate the MSM coupled with the deceit and rivalry among them of who becomes the presidential candidate of MSM in 2011 election that scattered them.”

The MSM also disowned alleged media statement credited to one Wale Okunniyi that following ongoing talks to form a mega party, leaders in the MSM and other allies in the organised labour are set for the formation of a common political platform.

Shitta-Bey said “I can boldly state that Wale Okunniyi has been expelled from the MSM.”

Though, I am aware that he is still illegally speaking or acting for MSM from unknown secretariat, I advise Chief Olu Falae and others to keep away from Wale Okuniyi if they want to keep a good name.”
