Imo gov charges FG on failed federal roads

Abuja—The Governor of Imo State, Chief Ikedi Ohakim, has called on the Federal Government to rehabilitate its roads in the state.

Ohakim made the call in Abuja, when he paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Works, Senator Sanusi Daggash.

“I am here to thank you for your concern in ensuring that the roads in Imo State are rehabilitated. The state government is doing well on the rehabilitation of some Federal Government roads,’’ he said.

He said the people were counting on the Minister in the area of road rehabilitation, decongestion and construction of more federal roads for easy flow of business in the state. In his remark, Daggash commended Ohakim for being “one of the most accomplished Governors in the country.”

He promised to make sure that federal roads in the state were made motorable.
