Former U-23 coach Kadiri Ikhana has criticised Super Eagles coach Lars Lagerback over the few number of home-based players invited to the Super Eagles camp for the World Cup.

According to him, the list should have been more than 50 players that will fight for shirt. Young, skillful and players hungry for honour, should have been given the opportunity to fight for a shirt. “Following his plan to inject new players and build a new team. I had expected more than 44 players”, Ikhana said.
