A former staff of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) Alhaji Yusuf Suleiman   is to head the Ministry of Transport following the re-deployment of the immediate past Transport Minister to Sports Ministry.

Suleiman, Vanguard gathered headed the Adiministrative department of the defunct National Maritime Authority (NMA) before the merger between NMA and the Joint Maritime Labour Industrial Council (JOMALIC)

Suleiman is also said to be the son in law of the current National Security Adviser (NSA) Alhaji Aliyu Gusau.
Operators are however very expectant  having a former staff of NIMASA head the Ministry of Transport.
