The governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola and former Minister of Information and Communications, Professor Dora Akunyili along with 10 others are topping theÂ chart in the BrandHEALTHÂ first survey on Most Trusted Human Brand (MTHB) in Nigeria in the month of February 2010.
In order of preference, Fashola, Akunyili, Goodluck Jonathan, Acting President, Umaru Yarâ€™dua, ailing president and Wole Soyinka, the noble laureate came tops in the chart of 12 most mentioned tracked personality brands in Nigeria .
Others include Pastor Enoch Adeboye, general overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, former President of Nigeria, Adams Oshiomhole, Edo State governor, Kanu Nwankwo, Senator David Mark, Godswill Akpabio and Mohammadu Buhari.
Explaining the survey mechanics, Mr. Emmanuel Udowoima, Chief Executive Officer of BrandHEALTH, a brand research firm said, â€œ1600 respondents in 15 states of the federation were randomly selected in their homes using a multi stage sampling method. 830 of the sample were males while the balance 670 respondents were females.â€
According to him, the study comprised of respondents aged 16 to 25 years, which represents 39 percent, 26 to 40 years represents 46 percent, 41 to 55 years constitutes 11 percent and 56 years and above is 4percent.
In terms of social class, 10 percent of the respondents were consumers in the upper income class, 43 percent in the middle income class and 47 percent in the lower income class. In literacy considerations, primary school was 13 percent, secondary school 40 percent, diploma 22 percent, and degree 25 percent..
