Ex-FCT minister joins Akwa Ibom guber race

Former Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Sen. John Udoedehe, yesterday, in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom capita,l declared his intention to contest the governorship election of the state in next year’s general elections.

Udoedehe declared his interest in the governorship election at a rally organised by Uyo Patriots held at St. Patrick Primary School field, Uyo.

In his speech at the occasion, Udoedehe thanked the people of the state for the support they had so far shown to him and assured them that he would ensure that their dreams for a greater Akwa-Ibom State are realized if he is elected Governor next year.

Said he : ” I want to use this very special occasion to formally announce my resolve to contest for the position of Governor, of Akwa-Ibom State at the next general elections.”

He thanked the immediate past governor of the state, Obong Victor Attah, who attended the event for his courage and described him as a man with a heart of lion.

Said he : ” He was the one who shifted power to our Annang brothers. Today, he wants it back for the majority” .
