Cleric calls for a ‘visible president’

THE Principal Clerk of The Presbyterian Church of Nigeria (PCN), The Rev. Ndukwe Nwachukwu Eme, has said that it is the divine destiny of Nigeria to have a “visible president and not a presidential seat that is indefinitely vacant.”

Eme said that it was never the plan of God to give anybody, organization or country half blessings and that the case of an invisible president was rather a divine aberration. Most Nigerians, he added, were uncomfortable with this situation which has persisted for too long. He therefore called on Nigerians to pray for the full restoration of God’s blessings on the nation.

The Principal Clerk, who is the second in the hierarchy of The Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, was delivering a sermon at the golden jubilee anniversary of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Aba.

Speaking on the theme, “Season of Praise,” Eme urged all Nigerians to live lives of total praise to God at all times “for God’s mercy and grace never cease.”
