After waiting on    the wings as Vice  Lady Captain of Ibori Golf and Country Club for close to three years, one of the finest female amateur golfers in the country, Faith Okoh Baya today officially steps out as the new Lady Captain of the 18 holes golf facility in Asaba with her inaugural tournament.

Though she was named the new leader of the ladies section early in the year, the decision did not come easy. There were opposing views but club members insisted that she stepped into the shoes of the out going Lady Captain.

Having put all that behind, Faith Okoh Baya is  today   hosting all the beautiful ladies from the golf clubs in the South South zone and beyond.

According to her, over 60 lady golfers from Benin Golf Club, Sapele Golf Club, Shell Ogunu Golf Club, Sagamu Golf Club, Enugu, Golf Club, IBB, Ikoyi Golf Club, Ikeja Golf Club will converge in Asaba for the inaugural tournament.
The male golfers are not left out of what promises to be an exciting tournament.

IGCC Captain Daniel Mayuku is a golf addict and will do all in his powers to ensure that the event supercedes other tournaments ever held in the club.

To this end, a lot of attractive prizes have been lined up for winners in the inaugural tourney.
Some of the male golfers expected to grace the tournament include Gen. Patrick Aziza, Gen C.K Emein, Sam Iredia, Barrister Moses Odibo and other prominent golfers from the South South zone.
