The Nigerian, and, indeed, African public service system will be the subject of discussion by eminent personalities as four books are launched at a go.
The four books were written by Dr. Tunji Olaopa, a civil servant, and will be presented tomorrow at the Aso Hall, International Conference Centre, Abuja, at 12 noon.
Senator Ibrahim Ida will chair the seminar while Professor Pat Utomi, Director, Lagos Business School who is guest speaker will speak on â€œInnovation, Learning, Reforms and the Nigerian Project: The Public Sector Imperative.â€
Professor Peter Okebukola, former Executive Secretary, National Universities Commission, and Alhaji Musa Rabiu, Registrar, Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria, will review the titles. Other special guests expected are Governor Segun Oni of Ekiti State; Chief Felix O. Fagbohungbe, SAN, among others.
The four books are ”Public Administration & Civil Service Reforms in Nigeria,” ”Innovation and Best Practices in Public Sector Reforms: Ideas, Strategies and Conditions;” ”Public Service Reforms in Africa”; and ”The Joy of Learning.” They were written to commomorate Olaopaâ€™s 50th birthday last December, but could not be presented then for some reasons.
