Stanbic IBTC Bank commences full operations in Ado-Ekiti

Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc,a member of the Standard Bank Group, in line with its ongoing nationwide branch expansion programme, has opened a full service branch in Ado, the Ekiti State capital.

The branch was opened at a ceremony in Ado-Ekiti by the state governor, Engr. Segun Oni.Mr. Tolu Oladipo, Head, Personal Banking, Stanbic IBTC Bank, said expanding the bank’s branch network in order to have an even presence across the geopolitical zones will avail a greater number of people access to the excellent products and services of the bank.

He said Stanbic IBTC will strive to connect with the people, state government and other corporate organisations in the state and its environs in a bid to drive infrastructural development and socio-economic growth.

“We have the competence to deliver, in Ekiti State, world class banking products and services for which Stanbic IBTC and Standard Bank is very well renowned.”

Oladipo said Stanbic IBTC has won several local and international awards for its role as a strong player in Nigeria’s infrastructure project financing.
“It is competence such as this that Stanbic IBTC is bringing to Ekiti State as a partner in progress with the Ekiti State government and corporate organisations of which the first move is the opening of the Ado-Ekiti branch.”

The Ekiti State Government on its part pledged its support to Stanbic IBTC to enable it realise its objectives for opening a branch in Ado-Ekiti, adding that it is open to any partnership that will catalyse socio-economic development in the state.

Dr. Sikiru Lawal, the Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, who represented the governor, noted that Ekiti is richly endowed with agricultural and solid mineral resources which, if properly harnessed, could turn the economy around and enhance the wellbeing of the people.

He enjoined all stakeholders, investors within the state and its environs to collaborate with Stanbic IBTC.
Commending the management of Stanbic IBTC for establishing a branch in Ado-Ekiti, Lawal said he believes the bank’s effort is well conceived and timely considering the state government’s efforts, through subsidies and a combination of other business friendly initiatives, aimed at attracting investors to the state.

“There is no doubt the state government, individuals and the business community will benefit immensely from Stanbic IBTC Bank branch in Ado-Ekiti,” Lawal stated.
