Staff audit not to sack workers, says NRC boss

By Ifeyinwa Obi
Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation, Engr. Adeseyi Sijuwade, has allayed the fears of the railway workers over the staff auditing due to begin soon.

Addressing workers during an interactive meeting with the workers, representatives of the Federal Ministry of Transport, Board of the corporation and the KAO Project Solution, the appointed contractor for the auditing, at the corporation’s Lagos headquarters, the managing director said the exercise was part of the on-going resuscitation of the nation’s rail transport system.

“The exercise is not to witch-hunt workers, but to put square pegs in square holes in the organisation. The consultant will take a comprehensive review of the present nature of the workforce, determine the corporation’s present and future required workforce.”
