Skye Bank donates complex to varsity

Skye Bank Plc hasdonated a multi purpose business complex to the Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijebu Ode in furtherance of its commitment to the growth of education in the country.

The complex consisted of an office block for the university”s micro finance bank, a building to house an eatery and 30 shops for commercial and trading activities.

A statement issued by the bank’s Head of Head Corporate Affairs, Kayode Akinyemi, said the donation was done in pursuance of the bank”s policy of giving back to the society and in line with its support for education and learning.

The statement quoted the Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Alhaja Salamot Badru, who commissioned the complex on behalf of Governor Gbenga Daniel, as commending the bank for complementing the effort of the state government in providing infrastructural facilities in the school.

The Deputy Governor urged the other corporate organizations in the country to emulate the bank”s gesture by supporting educational institutions by providing the necessary infrastructural facilities that will enhance teaching and learning.

Skye Bank’s Area Manager in the zone, Mr Wole Aderinkomi, said the bank undertook the construction of the project to provide a conducive learning environment for the students of the institution and to demonstrate its commitment to the development of education in the country.

In the area of education, Skye Bank has continued to provide support and assistance to both the public and private educational institutions in the country as part of its commitment to the upliftment of education in the country.
