AWKA—WIFE of Anambra State Governor, Mrs. Margaret Obi has assured women of the state, that they would reap bountifully for the confidence they reposed in Governor Peter Obi during the February 6 governorship election, which her husband and incumbent Governor, won.

In a message to mark this year’s International Women’s Day, Mrs. Obi commended the people for not allowing material politics and sectionalism to sway them from the tenets of fair judgment and consolidation of democratic gains made so far in the state.

“My sincere promise is that you should count it a wise investment that you have made by the very vote you cast for the continuity of the Peter Obi administration on February 6. Your return on investment is the consolidation of all the gains we had all made in the last four years and the stability to realizing the Millennium Development Goals in Anambra State well ahead of 2015,” the Governor’s wife said.

According to her, Anambra women have been highly sensitized and mobilized to support the development of the state irrespective of their political and religious inclinations, adding that it was against that background that her office has been providing micro credit for widows to advance their economic fortunes.

She also promised to avail every Anambrarian the opportunity to excel in their endeavours in the next four years by providing the enabling environment for economic activities to thrive.
