The Nigerian IT community will tomorrow in Lagos converge for the  much awaited Broadband forum organized by eWorld Magazine.

The Managing Editor of eWorld,  Aaron Ukodie said at the weekend that all is now set for the capacity building conference that will attract stakeholders in the Nigerian IT industry which has continued to be the toast of international community.

According to him,  the various speakers listed have also expressed their commitment to attend the event and contribute their views on how the frontiers of broadband can be pushed further in Nigeria .

He  said there is a growing understanding among industry stakeholders that now is the time to ensure that Nigeria keys into the global mood that recognises that broadband platforms were imperative for national economic growth.
New broadband roadmaps, action plans and commitments to broadband development, especially on the last mile front are expected at the Forum, he said.

NCC’S Executive Vice Chairman Dr Ernest Ndukwe is billed to deliver the keynote address, while the President of ATCON; Dr Emmanuel Ekuwem will speak on Broadband Ways To the 2015 Digital Harvest for the 2020 Digital Banquet.

Nigerian Internet Group (NIG) President, Engineer Lanre Ajayi takes on the topic: Bridging the Digital Divide through Broadband, while ace industry analyst, management consultant and founding Chief Executive Officer of eShekels, Mr Fola Odufuwa told eWorld will handle how Nigeria can Keying Nigeria into Global Broadband Trends.

Chairman of the Association of Licensed Telecommunications Operators of Nigeria (ALTON) Engineer Gbenga Adebayo will discuss the topic: The last mile gap in broadband services.

Also the President of the Institute of Software Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON) and Nigeria ’s ICT Oracle, Mr Chris Uwaje will discuss Broadband Implication for the local environment.

The Chief Operating Officer of the Information Technology Association of Nigeria (ITAN) Mr. Oluwole Owolabi handles Broadband Benefits for Vision 2020.

The topic Broadband Fusion Solution will be tackled by youthful Agha Chukuwka.
Senior Commercial Specialist, at the United States Embassy in Nigeria , Anayo Agu, Vice President of Nigeria Internet Registration Agency (NIRA), Mrs Uduma and Baba Ahmed of Backbone Connectivity of Nigeria will be some of the discussants at the event.

The Chief Executive Officers of Helios Towers Managing Director, Fazal Hussain and I H S, William Saad will present a roadmap on infrastructure sharing and managed services.
